To commemorate Air Max Day 2019, Nike launched the On Air contest, offering individuals from around the world a shot to design their own Air Max influenced by their cities. The Nike Air VaporMax Plus ‘On Air: Paris Works In Progress’ sneaker was created by Lou Matheron, who was inspired by photos of a Parisian courthouse under construction. Matheron’s design incorporates industrial style elements including a tough midfoot strap and screwed-on Swooshes.
